New D-ILA 4K projectors

JVC has unveiled its new line of D-ILA projectors, which will be on display during next week’s ISE 2017 (Integrated Systems Europe) in Amsterdam.

The flagship model would be the DLA-VS4500, designed for the simulation industry, followed by the DLA-Z1, for Home Cinema.

Both share certain qualities, such as the use of BLU-Escent phosphor/laser technology, whose lamp life is approximately 20,000 hours, and a brightness of 3,000 lumens that provides a high level of contrast.

Supported resolutions are up to 4K (4096 x 2160) and use 12-bit 4:4:4:4 signal processing. They support multiple input formats and work with a vertical refresh rate of 120 Hz for smooth, lag-free playback.

In view of the strong entry of HDR, these projectors incorporate an HDR image auto-detection mode.

Lastly, and in terms of connections, it has two HDMI inputs with HDCP2.2 at 18Gbps.

Apart from the DLA-VS4500 and DLA-Z1, JVC will also showcase the DLA-RS 420, 520 and 620 models, which use JVC’s e-shift technology.
