New DaVinci Resolve Fusion tutorial for chroma work

In this new installment of DaVinci Resolve Fusion tutorials we bring you a new video on youtube where you can learn different techniques and tools when dealing with a chroma key.

In this new tutorial Jorge Molina explains not only the tools to clean the chroma key, he also teaches us how to prepare our footage to work correctly: size and resolution of the image or the color space both display and output. For this he shows us some reactor plugins, which are free and can make our work much easier.

The first of the tools is Primatte, which is only available in the Fusion Stand alone application, although it can also be found in other software such as After Effects, Final Cut or Avid. If you missed the previous tutorial on chromas with the Clean Platethere you can find more tricks to fine tune your compositing.

The second tool featured in this tutorial is KAK “Kick Ass Keyer”, a tool developed by the Fusion community and available within DaVinci Resolve. Within each tool we go over basic concepts for working with any chroma key such as spill, garbage matte, etc…and unlike other tools, KAK is a tool where you don’t need to have as much knowledge of the program, but where you can have more control.

To practice everything you have learned in this free Fusion tutorial you can download some of the shots from the Hollywood Camera Work website .

And if you want to continue learning and perfecting your techniques in Fusion, don’t miss the complete Fusion course for colorists with more than 7 hours of training and the advanced fusion course for those who want to go one step further.
