New desktop software from AJA for Kona, Io and T-TAP

AJA has announced the new desktop software desktop software update for Kona, Io and T-TAP that improves the performance of HDR and 8K workflows. AJA also highlights the flexibility this new 15.5 release brings to Windows, Linux and MacOS creators.

For video editors, the release of this new desktop software means they can take on 8K and HDR work. AJA has included new features such as enhanced HDR integration with Avid Media Composer nonlinear editing software. Being forward-thinking and seeing the rise of 8K, it also enables native playback of 8K and 4K material.

Desktop Software 15.5 is 100% compatible with macOS Catalina and the new Metal, making it a perfect ally to optimize work and increase the speed of work for creatives. For users of the new MacPro, you can rest assured that you will also find compatibility with the new software.

Through the SDI output the new upgrade enables monitoring of the SMPTE ST 2110-40 standard for AJA Io IP and Avid Artist DNxIP. It also allows connection to multiple devices on a single host via AJA NMOS. It allows HDR over SDI via VPID.

Those with the Kona 5 PCIe I/O card can also enjoy 8K display in 2SI SMPTE and RGB in both playback and capture. With the HDMI output, downscaling from 8K to 4K resolution is possible.
