New Fusion tutorial: Different ways to crop an image

Today we bring you a new fusion tutorial with the different ways to crop an image. What may seem very simple at first, can be complicated if we don’t use the right effect or the right node tree order. The order of the nodes can affect the final result and affect the size of the image.

A simple and quick tutorial reviewing basic concepts and new tools focused on the use of clipping masks within an image and at a general level of the image itself. This tutorial explains, among others, the Channelboolean tool that allows us to crop the image with a mask, having access to the matte control. Related to this topic we also explain the differences between this tool and the matte control tool, as well as the different utilities.

As in previous Fusion tutorials, Jordi Molina is the teacher of this tutorial, and in the Youtube channel you can find the rest of Fusion tutorials: Color management in ACES, mask creation, 3D camera trackeretc… Although you can always complete your training in Fusion with any of our online courses for colorists on the 709mediaroom website.
