New KanDao Qoocam 8K 360º camera

Manufacturing brand Kandao has launched its new pocket-sized 360 camera. Qoocam 8K. The 360º cameras since they went on sale have always had a resolution limitation until the Qoocam 8K has appeared. With a pocket size it is capable of recording 360 images in a resolution of 7680×3840.

It is the smallest 360 camera on the market to date and this is not an impediment to reach new levels of recording in terms of 360º. Thanks to its 1/1.7 inch sensor it allows us to capture 8K images at 30 frames per second and 4K images at 120 fps. We can thus achieve slow motion images with a high resolution. The manufacturers highlight the quality that can be achieved by comparing them with the quality that would be obtained with a 35mm camera and APS-C sensor.

The camera, which can be operated with a single hand, has a stabilization system based on a 6-axis gyroscope to make images more stable and fluid without the need to use an external stabilizer. This SuperSteady system patented by the brand together with its IMU sensor makes it possible to capture 360º images in any situation.

It is capable of capturing photos in SuperHDR. What it does to achieve 16 bit HDR images is to make a continuous burst that results in a DNG and a JPG with HDR quality: lower noise, higher dynamic range, brightness and sharpness.

It has a simple interface to make operation as easy as possible. The camera structure has a 2.4-inch touch screen to operate it and adjust the parameters in real time. QooCam also has a mobile application that allows us to edit videos and photos at any time.

The QooCam 8K can now be purchased from its own website website and is priced at 599 euros.
