New public beta of mocha AE and mocha Pro

Last Friday the new version 3.2 public beta of the advanced tracking, rotoscoping and stabilization software mocha Pro and mocha AE, developed by Imagineer Systems, was released.

New features and enhancements to existing features have been included:

  • Global character and keyboard support, allowing compatibility with projects, material, layer names and paths in any language.
  • The “3D Camera exporter” is now able to export null values with names and precision identifiers for After Effects and Nuke systems.
  • License deactivation issues related to the Mountain Lion operating system have been fixed.
  • Fixed errors in export tracking with interlaced projects for After Effects and Final Cut Pro.
  • Arrangements have also been made for the export of stabilized and inverted tracking.
  • General improvements in all areas of the software.

MochaPro

The 3.2 update will work with existing v3.x licenses for both mocha Pro and mocha AE. For those users with Adobe’s mocha AE CS6, you will need to purchase the upgrade or request the trial to run the beta.

In the case of the “3D importer” plugin for After Effects, no license is required, but the new naming functionality will only work with mocha v3.2 and mocha 3D importer 1.1.

And if you don’t have any license yet, you can buy mocha Pro for $1,495 or mocha AE for $245. The main difference between them is, in addition to the application support, of course, in the availability of advanced modules (having many more in the Pro version). In this page you can see a comparison with all their features.

To participate in the public beta program it is necessary to register in the forums.
