New Sorenson Squeeze 8

Sorenson has released the latest version of its compression and encoding software Squeeze V8. In this new version, among other features, x264 encoding is improved and access to the more than 246 encoding presets that the software has is made easier. Sorenson has also released a Lite version with lower features and price. You can see the press release in Creative Cow here

In addition, Avid has announced that it will continue the collaboration with Sorenson by including a copy of version 8 in its Media Composer, Symphony and Newscutter software (currently Squeeze 7 is included with version 6 of the editors).

However, the version of Squeeze 8 that Avid will include will not be the full version as announced (probably Lite) although it will be possible to upgrade to the full version of the compressor.
