Maxon has released an update to Cineware to tighten the integration between the renowned Cinema 4D system and After Effects software, as well as to increase performance.
Cineware is the technology that makes this bridge between the two applications possible, introduced since the release of the CC versions (Creative Cloud) to the market. Thanks to Cineware we can use any 3D file supported by Cinema 4D inside After Effects and enhance it using “Live 3D Pipeline”; as well as select compositing steps directly in After Effects for editing.
After Effects CC saw the release of Cinema 4D Lite, a limited version of the system but with a comprehensive set of features and integrated into Adobe’s software. Now, they have decided to add many of the enhancements from Cinema 4D R15 (Release 15), released last month and marked by new features in modeling, text creation, sculpting and image processing.
New settings in the Cineware dialog box will allow us to select which version of Cinema 4D (R14 or later) should start automatically, which will be beneficial especially for those users who have the full versions(Studio or Broadcast) installed.
In addition, the rendering capabilities in the After Effects graphics window have been improved. This is intended primarily for users who have the full version, not the Lite version, and work with the “Physical Renderer” tool, which is able to provide real camera functions to add cinematic possibilities. To improve processing speed without compromising image quality it works with the Embree Raytracing Engine (from Intel) in an optimized way.
The Maxon Cineware upgrade is now available for the latest version of After Effects CC. In addition, the company is offering special pricing for After Effects users who want to go one step further with 3D work and purchase any of the complete Cinema 4D systems.
