Just a few days ago the new version of Baselight for Avid was released, which comes with some improvements for this color correction plugin designed by FilmLight.
First, new subdivision functions have been added so that a correction can be easily applied to a group of shots and then cut and customized for each individual clip.
The keyboard shortcuts F5 and F6, which allow us to navigate between planes, now go without any problem and without the Baselight interface appearing and disappearing, but they make the change directly.
Baselight Lens (BLGs) are now read and writeable, and versions of corrections can be saved in the BLG directory without overwriting the original correction.
A very good news is that FilmLight has cleaned the database that carries the trial licenses, so now anyone can try this new version, regardless of whether they had already downloaded a previous trial. You can download it through this link.
