New version of Phantom Cine Toolkit

Phantom Cine Toolkit is a tool that allows working with “Cine” files, created by Vision Research‘s high-speed cameras, on the usual editing and post-production systems. Now Glue Tools has updated it by releasing version v3.0, which includes new media and improvements in color processing.

In addition to importing, playing back and exporting (to Quicktime) such files, Phantom Cine Toolkit also includes color correction, white balance and RAW development functions.

This new version includes support for all the new Miro M series cameras, as well as the latest v1210 and v1610. Cine files created by PCC 2.0 (from Vision Research), or Séance (from Glue Tools) software are also supported and can work with the SMPTE timecode also exported by these programs.

Another feature that has been improved is the color accuracy when importing files, so that the images we see are more faithful to what we could see from the camera output.

Phantom Cine Toolkit can work with:

– Adobe After Effects for Macintosh (CS5 or higher).

– Avid Media Composer for Mac (version 6 and above).

– Final Cut Studio 3

– Compressor 4

– Other Quicktime compatible applications.

It is priced at $799. For those who already have the previous version, they can upgrade for $399 (those who obtained the license after February 1 will be able to upgrade for free).
