New version of True Comp Duplicator, for After Effects

Aescripts + Aeplugins is a marketplace where you can get different plugins and scripts for Adobe After Effects. One of the creators of Scripts is Brennan Chapman, who has just released version 3.0 of his True Comp Duplicator.

This type of product helps us to improve and automate certain operations that can become very cumbersome if we perform them by hand. In this case, True Comp Duplicator allows to duplicate hierarchies of compositions in After Effects, giving the possibility of choosing only some depth levels or, on the contrary, being able to select several compositions to duplicate them at the same time (since this last version). In addition to these, in this third version, the main novelty is the support of Adobe CS6.

In case a “Comp” is used several times, it would only be duplicated once and the remaining reference points would be added. In addition, if the composition is created on a special folder hierarchy, True Comp Duplicator can keep or duplicate it, depending on the user’s preferences.

This video is a demonstration of the improved features. In addition to those already mentioned, the interface has also been revamped and the options for modifying names, depth limit, “expressions” and the possibility of including or excluding filters have been improved.

True Comp Duplicator v3 is available for $24.99 from their website. It is compatible with After Effects from version CS3 onwards.

At 709 Media Room we have several courses related to the new Adobe CS6 collection. The After Effects course has already passed, but if you are interested in these systems, you still have time to sign up for the Speedgrade color corrector course, which will take place on July 7 and 8. You have all the information here.
