Red Giant is another company that has released several important new products over the summer.
Primatte Keyer 5.1
With version 5.1, Primatte Keyer adds support for After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro and Motion.
Primatte Keyer is a software that allows you to easily extract the green or blue background from a chroma key. While previously only available for After Effects, it now expands its market to several other applications:
- After Effects: CC (2014), CC, CC, CS6, CS5.5 and CS5
- Premiere Pro: CC (2014), CC and CS6
- Final Cut Pro X: 10.0.9 and above
- Motion: 5.0.4 and higher
This is a totally free upgrade for version 5 users (for previous versions it costs $99). You can get it from this link or purchase a license for 499$ from here.

BulletProof 1.2.1
A little over a year ago BulletProof was released, and with it the possibility of downloading the trial to test this backup and review software on set.
At that time the Red Giant application only supported certain cameras and codecs (such as H.264), which have been expanded to include others such as MXF or AVCHD.
Due to the great changes that BulletProof has had so far, the company wants to give you the opportunity to try it again. To do so, install version 1.2.1 and you will have access for 30 days (even if you already installed the trial version and it expired).

Universe 1.2
On the other hand we have the Universe platform, with a lot of presets, transitions and effects libraries to share among users. During the month of August Red Giant made a preview of what we will find in version 1.2:
All Universe effects work within After Effects, Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro X. Until this update arrives (Red Giant has not given details on the date) you can register for free here and get about 30 effects.
