Nuke Studio

The Foundry has unveiled Nuke Studio, its new software for editing, VFX and finishing.

Nuke Studio is based on the company’s renowned visual effects system(Nuke) and has been designed for short projects where it is convenient to perform the entire workflow in a single application.

It has a timeline for editing in which we will find shaping tools and metadata management. It supports 4K, whose reproduction in real time can be possible thanks to the acceleration of the computer’s graphics card (or cards), even having effects on the timeline.

On the other hand, for VFX work there is a nodal system just like Nuke and the full (effects) toolset contained in Nuke X.

One of the keys to this system is its performance, so the company has integrated a render farm capable of processing with the power of one or more workstations if necessary.

Although Nuke Studio has been developed primarily with individual users in mind, tools for teams have also been included, allowing multiple professionals to move across versions and share custom effects.

At the moment there are no details about its price or release date, but here is a video for you to take a first look and get some opinions.
