Optimizing Avid Pro Tools for Mac

What’s New in Avid Pro Tools

We should note that the processor of the new Apple product is capable of running 36% more plug-ins on an iMac Pro 8-Core model and up to 62% more plug-ins on an iMac Pro 10-Core model. Therefore, Avid Pro Tools is now compatible with macOS High Sierra 10.13.2. Users running macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 should update to version 10.13.2 before installing Pro Tools 12.8.3, due to issues in the installer.
