Ovide adds new optics to its catalog

Ovide, a rental company for digital cinema and television productions, has decided to increase its catalog by adding new optics and adapters.
Opticians
Ovide’s new bets cater to both the PL and EF mount markets. We can find optics that they already had previously, and now they have increased the quantity due to the growing demand, or some new additions manufactured and launched during 2013.
- Cooke S5/i (undoubtedly the most outstanding) of 18, 25, 32, 40, 50, 65, 75, 100mm.
- Zoom Angenieux 45-120 (T2.6).
- Zoom Zeiss CZ.2 70-200 (T2.9) with EF and PL mount.
- Canon CN-E 14, 24, 35, 35, 50, 85 and 135mm, which also happens to be the first complete set available for rental in Europe.
Adapters
Several anamorphic adapters have also been added. They are intended for low-cost productions due to their operation with almost all existing optics.
Finally, Ovide has acquired another adapter specifically for the popular GoPro3 and GoPro3+.
In addition to lenses and adapters, Ovide has an extensive catalog in which we can find cameras, accessories, recorders, filters, lighting systems and much more equipment, some of which is used in our Digital Cinema Camera Course.
In the future
Following the requests obtained during the last IBC (Amsterdam), Ovide will continue to acquire products during the rest of the year:
- The long-awaited ARRI Amira will arrive in April.
- In June we will be able to see the Angenieux 25-250DP optics, which come to replace the older 25-250HR.
There will be a presentation of both at the company’s offices, which can be attended by anyone interested in learning more.
