Ovide, the prestigious digital film and television equipment rental and sales firm, will provide most of the camera equipment used in the DIT and advanced camera operations course.
Some of the equipment to be used in the DIT course, supplied by Ovide, will be:
Sony F65 RAW camera: The new flagship of the Japanese brand for digital cinema. With an 8MP sensor, the possibility of working in two Raw and 3 HDCAM SR modes and its PL mount the F65 is set to be one of the next cameras to use for both digital cinema and high-end TV series.
Arri Alexa camera: After the not so successful D20 and D21 Arri presented this model that has already become a reference in digital cinematography. Its recording flexibility in ArriRaw, one of the few native codecs without compression (in external recorders that will also be available in the course) or in codecs for editing as the Apple Prores family and Avid DNXHD in the camera itself. Its ease of use and high dynamic range with the LogC logarithmic curve have led many old and new school cinematographers to incorporate it into their equipment.
Red Epic camera: 5MP sensor, recording in the well-known Red Codec Raw, possibility of working in high dynamic range in HDRx mode, reduced size and Red’s guarantee have made this camera one of the great options in digital cinematography. Directors such as Peter Jackson in The Hobbit or Ridley Scott in Prometheus have worked with this system.
Of course the cameras will be used with Zeiss Ultraprime optics sets.
You can see all the camera equipment in this link. And remember that if you make your reservation in advance you will have a 10% discount for early booking, whether you do it complete or any of the independent modules.
