Panasonic launches the AW-UE150 camera on the market

Panasonic launches the AW-UE150, a pan-tilt UHD 60p zoom camera with remote control, together with the AW-RP150 remote control.

First announced last year, the UE150 is aimed at broadcast, production, corporate, events, education and places of worship. It features a one-inch MOS sensor and a 20x zoom lens with a 75.1-degree horizontal viewing angle. It can output UHD and cropped HD simultaneously over 12G-SDI, HDMI, optical fiber and IP.

Panasonic said the camera supports HDR capture and has an optical image stabilization system to compensate for shake. A night mode supports infrared shooting. IP output, settings and other camera options can be controlled from a computer over an IP network or via mobile devices. Panasonic adds that a single RP150 unit can control up to 200 UE150 cameras, while a single UE150 can be controlled from up to five different RP150 units.

The RP150 remote control itself has a seven-inch LCD touchscreen for monitoring and changing menu settings, along with a joystick and joystick to control zoom or focus. Scene files and other settings can be saved to an SD card and copied to multiple cameras to reduce the configuration of a large number of cameras. The RP150 will also work with high-end Panasonic PTZ and other remote cameras.
