Pomfort Silverstack v4

Pomfort has just introduced version 4 of its Silverstack software, introducing also the Silverstack XT model, which comes with some exclusive features to meet the needs of more complex workflows from set to post production.

Silverstack is a media acquisition and management system, where the library is the main tool to work with the material. Its structure has been improved in order to achieve greater speed, especially when it comes to tasks such as searching and browsing through thousands of clips. In addition, with this update it will be possible to exchange and combine libraries between different machines, thus being able to use Silverstack as an ingest station.

Version 4 speeds up all processes related to backups, and this is thanks to the revised copy engine and the much faster “xxhash” checksum verification.

In order to make backups to LTO tapes, the system has been optimized to verify through LTFS.

Other new features include:

• Still image export (jpg, tiff)
• Reports with larger thumbnails
• Support for Sony F55 and F65 RAW files
• ProRes XQ support
• Cascading copies

Silverstack v4 is priced at €299 for an annual license, or €465 for Silverstack XT. There is also the possibility to rent it for 14 days, one month or two months.
