P+S TECHINK brings the Kowa Evolution

The German-based company P+S TECHINKhas continued in its line based on the recovery of lenses considered as classics, such as Schneider Cine Xenon, Canon K35, Super Baltar, Cooke Panchro, etc. bringing us, on this occasion, the Kowa Evolution, a return to the classic anamorphic Kowa lenses.

It is a set of six lenses of 40mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, 135mm, as well as a wide angle. Based on the original Kowa design of the 1970s, they have tried to retain that low contrast and warm tone appearance, while maintaining their anamorphic principle.

However, despite the vintage look it may convey, its optical mechanism is completely new.

In the company’s own words, “Kowa Evolution is an anamorphic lens ideal for working with handheld cameras, Steadicam or drones” thanks to its 80mm front diameter and 70mm filter thread.

These lenses come standard with PL mount, but are also available with EF and E mount.
