Public beta of Scratch version 8.5

Assimilate has released the public beta of Scratch v8.5 so that its users can have immediate access to it, evaluate it and make recommendations for the next updates and the final version.

Along with this beta, the rest of the systems in the complete series, Scratch Web, Scratch Play and Scratch VR, the latter aimed at virtual reality environments, have also been released.

The main new features of Scratch 8.5 are:

• Complete set of ACES conversions as specified by the Academy.

• HDR support and integration of HDR into the system color management, with the possibility of applying a PQ curve to a primary, secondary or reference output.

• Media publishing directly to Facebook.

• Option to launch Scratch from a command line with an XML series for better integration with third-party software and scripts.
