Qube Cinema is presenting during CineEurope in Barcelona QubeMaster Preview, the new addition to its QubeMaster family of products for digital cinema mastering.
QubeMaster Preview is software that allows users to preview DCPs originating from any source on a PC. Thus, postproduction studios, mastering facilities, and independent filmmakers alike will have an affordable way (according to the company, which has not provided pricing details) to preview their DCPs and perform quality control without the need to purchase full mastering or DCI equipment.
Users will now be able to play DCPs directly from their original location on local disk, with an ingest-in-place option that eliminates the need to copy large files multiple times.
This software supports DCP ingest along with its KDM to simulate playback from a digital cinema server with or without encryption, as well as stereoscopic DCPs.
The QubeMaster family includes:
- QubeMaster Pro: a system for creating DCPs on Windows, intended for high-end post-production companies and distribution service providers.
- QubeMaster Packager: allows ingest, encryption and preview of DCPs.
- QubeMaster Xpress 2.0: makes digital cinema mastering accessible to everyone thanks to its three-step interface. It is Windows-based.
- QubeMaster Xport 2.0: compatible with Mac OS X operating systems and optimized for Final Cut 7 and X and Avid Media Composer users.
QubeMaster Preview can be purchased or tested by contacting sales@qubecinema.com. And we remind you that it will be at CineEurope in Barcelona until June 27th.
If you are interested in learning more about DCP creation and digital projection, don’t hesitate to take a look at the Advanced DCP Course that will take place on July 7-8, with part of the classes taught at the Sala Berlanga in Madrid.
