Recipes for coding and exporting web files

The other day on the internet I found this simple encoding recipes document, it is a guide developed by Telestream, manufacturer of Episode Pro encoding software, with some recipes and tips for encoding and exporting to the web.

Although the examples refer to Episode Pro software (logical), the truth is that the guide gives quite general export guidelines, applicable to other software such as Compressor or Sorenson Squeeze: which codec and container to choose (and the difference between them), when to deinterlace, how to prepare the material BEFORE exporting, the rule of 8 for trimming the material… these and other tips are very well explained in the guide.

I hope this document will shed some light on the usual hell of video codec use and enjoyment 🙂
