Red Giant presents Offload

Red Giant has just launched Offload, its new application for downloading and copying files from camera cards to the computer or external hard drives.

With a very intuitive interface, this tool will allow you to save the original media quickly and easily both on the shooting set and at any subsequent stage. For this purpose, it has three main windows:

  • Source: where it recognizes the camera card or hard disks from where we are going to copy the material.
  • Copy: where the first copy is made. Once made, the card can be removed and the second copy will continue to be made.
  • Backup: for an additional copy in another location.

For making copies and backups, it uses Checksum verification, ensuring that each copy is exactly the same as the original clip.

It is also possible to create templates for the names of the destination folders, using dates, camera information or customized texts.

Offload is a standalone software, although it is also included in the Shooter Suite collection, along with other systems such as BulletProof, PluralEyes or Denoiser.

It runs on Windows (7 and 8 64-bit) and Mac OS X (10.8), and has been announced as compatible with most current cameras and formats, although the specific codecs supported have not yet been detailed.

It is priced at $49 and can be purchased or tested through this link. In addition, it is totally free if you are Shooter Suite 12.5 users and BulletProof users will only cost $29 thanks to a discount code that you will receive by email.
