Red Giant will no longer upgrade BulletProof

Sad news for fans of this software from Red Giant: BulletProof will not have any more updates.

A few days ago it was announced that this standalone backup and file review application is being discontinued. The reasons given by Red Giant are that BulletProof has never been too popular and, since the camera and codec landscape is constantly changing, it requires significant work to keep it up to date. Therefore, they have decided to leave it behind and focus on other products that users like better.

Even so, the company has advised that the software will continue to work and they will offer support for the existing version.

One advantage is that Shooter Suite, the collection of tools aimed at getting the right footage from shooting to post-production, drops in price to $299.
