The new DSMC2 Touch LCD monitor, with 1920×1200 resolution, ensures that no detail is lost even when shooting in broad daylight.
RED has just launched a new monitor designed for its DSMC2 cameras, a 7″ high brightness touchscreen LCD with 2,200 nits.
The previous model achieved only 350 nits. However, the new monitor, thanks to its high brightness, does not lose detail even in broad daylight. It also has a resolution of 1920×1200 (higher than the 1920×1136 of the previous model), a wider color gamut, a contrast ratio of 1200:1 and the same pixel density of 323 PPI.
The new DSMC2 Touch LCD monitor features anoptically bonded touchscreen with Gorilla Glass for durability. It features the ability to mount on RED’s DSMC2 Brain bracket, or other 1/4-20 mounting surfaces, and provides a LEMO connection to the camera, making it an ideal monitoring option for crane and cable remote viewing. It is also possible to use a Lemo DSMC2 A adapter in conjunction with this monitor for off-camera mounting options.
