Samsung introduces its new Cinema Screen

Samsung has introduced its new Cinema Screen, an HDR LED display designed for movie theaters, created with the aim of repositioning theaters as the place to get an unparalleled visual experience.

This 10m LED display features 4K resolution (4096 x 2160) and HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology, which means brightness levels about 10 times higher than standard projectors (146fL compared to 14fL). In fact, the company claims that its Cinema Screen is capable of displaying the brightest colors and deepest blacks at a contrast ratio of virtually “infinity:1”.

In addition, the new cinema display is supported by audio options from Samsung’s Harman Professional Solutions and Audio Lab.

At the moment we do not know if the Cinema Screen will be available in more sizes or custom sizes, nor do we have information about its price. During these days Samsung will formally present it at the CinemaCon 2017 demonstrations, so we will tell you more details.
