Samsung T7 SSD now available

As already announced at CES 2020, Samsung has already released its new external storage drive SSD T7. An external solid-state memory with high write and read speed and advanced security system.

Samsung has opted for a pocket device with storage capacity but above all it is necessary to highlight the data transmission speed that it is capable of achieving in the USB 3.2 GEN 2 standard. Specifically, it offers a read speed of 1,050 MB/s compared to 1,000MB/s for writing, practically the same. This means that the speed has been doubled compared to the T5 model and leaves previous external hard drive models behind.

In terms of storage capacity, it is available in 3 versions with 500 GB, 1TB and 2 TB. In this way the samsung T7 SSD allows you to work with heavy materials including videos in 4K and 8K resolution, as well as images, games, etc… Therefore it is designed for all types of users in a professional or home environment.

Another key to the T7 SSD’s universality is its connection compatibility with Mac, Windows and Android systems. The device comes with two cable options: USB Type-C to C and USB Type-C to A. Which means it can be connected to mobile devices , laptops, Smart TVs or even game consoles.

Another feature that stands out from Samsung is the security offered by the external memory with 256-bit AES encryption. Through this encryption system we can add extra protection to the device through two formats, password or fingerprint recognition.
