Assimilate is one of the manufacturers focused lately on improving the possibilities for working with virtual reality. Now, it has expanded the basic set of 360-degree tools to add color correction and compositing functions within Scratch VR Suite.
Dedicated virtual reality tools range from head-mounted displays (HMDs) to the ability to render a standard 2D version of a 360-degree production.
At the top of the image of the glasses you will find superimposed the controls for the Oculus Rift, which allow you to use the mouse to operate the timeline without removing the HMDs. It is also possible to use a controller to do basic color correction while wearing the glasses.
Special yaw, pitch and roll controls have been included to reposition the image and orient the 360-degree environment view differently. This also makes it possible to stabilize the image, reduce camera shake or replace it.
This collection is sold as an annual license that includes Scratch, a basic Scratch web account, and the complete set for creating dailies, reviewing, and performing other more creative tasks with VR. The usual price is $1,995, but right now there is a promotion that brings it down to $1,000.
