Silverstack Lab and ARRI Webgate

ARRI WEBGATE

One of the purposes of clip transcoding in Silverstack Lab is the creation of watch dailies from the camera originals. They allow members of the production team (such as the DoP or Director) to get a look at the footage as soon as possible. It is common practice to upload these dailies to a web platform that makes them instantly available to all involved.

ARRI Webgate ‘s cloud services are such platforms. For some time now, the dailies platform has supported ALE files in order to provide metadata along with the transcoded clips. Silverstack Lab integrates with this workflow and can generate an ALE file optimized for transferring metadata to ARRI Webgate. To make this even more convenient, you can choose to generate the ALE metadata directly during transcoding, so that clips and metadata are ready to be uploaded and viewed in ARRI Webgate together.

The new integration enables a powerful daily workflow, combining high-speed transcoding in Silverstack Lab with metadata availability in ARRI Webgate.
