Simian introduces its new coding application

Simian, developer of workflow and media management solutions, has announced the release of Simian Real Time Video Encoder, also called RTVE (yes, like Radio Televisión Española).

It is an application that simplifies the entire process of encoding video files and their subsequent upload to the cloud. Regardless of the file size, RTVE speeds up the upload and ensures optimal playback across platforms.

This new encoding system aims to reduce file upload time, which can take several hours for broadcast-quality files, and the confusion caused by certain somewhat complex codecs. To this end, it has several predefined profiles (presets) that encode the files locally on the user’s computer before uploading the video.

It is also possible to load formats such as PDF, JPEG and others, and to exclude encoding if it is not necessary. In addition, there are functions for sorting, tagging and adding credits.

Here you have all the information and features of the Simian platform, which has tools to manage media libraries, reel presentations, project management and activity tracking.

Simian Real Time Video Encoder is completely free for current Simian users. If you are not yet a Simian user, you can check their pricing plans here or request a trial version from this page.

If instead of applying a preset you prefer to know at all times what you are doing and keep track of the encodings, I recommend you to take a look at the Codecs, Formats and Workflows Course that will take place on June 8 and 9.
