Sonnet introduces the new Solo 10G

In order to add 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10 GbE) connectivity to a MacBook Pro via Thunderbolt 3, Sonnet claims its new Solo 10G Thunderbolt 3 Edition adapter will do the job for less than $200.
Sonnet Solo 10G
The Solo 10G is compatible with any Mac (OS 10.13.4 or higher) or Windows 10 (64-bit v1709 or higher) computer with a Thunderbolt 3 port, allowing portable workstations to connect to high-speed networked storage and infrastructure via high-speed Ethernet. It comes with an RJ45 port for 10 GbE connectivity over Cat 6 or 6A cabling, and an aluminum housing that functions as a heat sink, meaning no fan is required. In addition to 10 GbE, the system supports NBASE-T, which can run data rates up to 5 Gbps over existing Cat 5e cables.
