Sony announces full-frame recording capability with Venice film camera

Sony has announced that users will no longer have to wait until August of next year to enjoy the full 6K capabilities of its new Venice camera.

After listening to the constant requests made by the various professionals in the field, the company has decided to incorporate, from the beginning of the start of sales of the camera, the possibility of being able to record at 6K full frame 24 x 36 mm.

In the words of Claus Pfeifer, sales manager “The development of the Venice camera platform demonstrates Sony’s commitment to the film industry to evolve image recording in key areas such as dynamic range, color reproduction and the freedom of a large-format aspect ratio. Venice demonstrates our goal to develop tools that help directors and cinematographers bring their ideas to the screen. This announcement reflects our strong relationship with filmmakers around the world and empowers them to create emotion in every frame.

We remind you that shipments of this film camera will start next February.
