Sony announces the Sony Alpha A7R III

The Japanese company Sony has unveiled its new camera, the Sony Alpha A7R III.

This is a full frame CMOS E Exmor R sensor, mirrorless device that is set to replace the Sony Alpha A7R II, with which it shares certain common features such as its resolution, which remains at 42.4 megapixels.

Among other features, it has a burst shooting speed of up to 10 fps, improving on its predecessor. It also has a dynamic range of 15 stops, and an ISO of 100-32,000, expandable to 50-102,400.

Regarding its recording properties, it features up to 4K resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. It also includes a new HLG profile, which supports an instant HDR workflow.

In terms of design, it is quite similar to its predecessor, however, a joystick has been incorporated to control the focus; two SD card inputs; as well as a touch screen.

This new Sony Alpha A7R III will be available to users from next November, for a price of about 3,500€, lens not included.
