Although the IBC closed its doors the day before yesterday, we still have products to talk about. Among them are three compact camcorders that were presented by Sony during the course of the show.
These are the XDCAM PXW-Z90the NXCAM HXR-NX80 and the Handycam FDR-AX700, three 4K HDR camcorders.
One of the features on which the company has made quite a lot of emphasis has been about the focusing system of the cameras. These cameras feature the new hybrid autofocus system developed by Sony, which ensures a highly accurate tracking and focusing, thanks to its 273-point autofocus.
They also feature an Exmor RS 1.0 CMOS sensor; a high-resolution OLED viewfinder, as well as an LCD touchscreen.
These camcoders feature dual XLR input, HDMI type A, access to Content Browser Mobile, an application that allows remote control via WiFi through any smartphone.
Other features they have:
- 4K² full pixel readout without pixel binning via the BIONZ X image processing engine.
- Super slow motion recording, up to 960 fps.
- S-Log3/S-Gamut3 capabilities.
- ZEISS® Vario-Sonnar T 29 mm (35EQ) wide-angle 12x optical zoom lens and 18x sharp image zoom. (35EQ) and 18x sharp image zoom.
- Reduced image distortion (linear scanning phenomenon).
The Handycam FDR-AX700 will be the first to arrive, and will be available from October, while the XDCAM PXW-Z90 and the NXCAM HXR-NX80 will be available from December.
