Sony introduces two new E-mount wide-angle lenses

Sony has just added to its E-mount lens series a pair of wide-angle zoom lenses that fully cover a 35mm sensor.

First we have the 16-35mm GM lens with f/2.8 aperture, from Sony’s professional series, for a price of $2,198. It has an XA front element, an 11-blade aperture design and dual autofocus motors. It is a dust and moisture resistant lens and, in addition, the front element comes with a coating that prevents smudges and scratches. It also includes focus hold and hood release buttons.

On the other hand Sony has introduced the 12-24 G, with f/4 aperture, for a price of $1,698. It is very light (weighs 566g) and comes with a quiet autofocus motor. Like the previous lens, it is dust and moisture resistant.
