Sony PROduction Awards 2014

Sony has opened the registration period for the third call for entries of the PROduction Awards 2014.

It is a competition aimed at film professionals, students and amateurs with the objective of gaining industry recognition and career development for these filmmakers.

What to do

To participate, a short film with a maximum duration of 5 minutes must be submitted in one of the three existing categories:

*In the student classification it is possible to submit creative or informative short films, but they will be judged among peers.

You can register as filmmakers or as students in any of the three categories.

Entries will be judged on the skill with which they were shot and the equipment used (which can be a 35mm camera or a cell phone). The idea, content, photography, direction and production will also be evaluated.

The only detailed conditions are that the CGI/animation content cannot exceed 25% and the size of the submitted file must be less than 250Mb.

Voting

The deadline for submission is March 10, when voting will be open to the public, who will be able to view all the short films received at the Sony PROduction Award Arena.

Voting will close on April 7 and the following day the five most popular short films in each category will be announced and judged by a jury of experts.

If you would like to take part in these votes, all you have to do is register on this website.
