Sony has revamped its cloud-based video production and storage platform, making it more powerful. Sony Ci is now faster and generates better workflows.
UPLOADS
The Aspera Connect plugin has been improved, allowing you to resume uploads if you are using an irregular network, get detailed information on the remaining time or continue uploading even if you have closed the browser, all at (theoretical) speeds of up to 10 GB/sec.
EQUIPMENT
With Sony Ci you can invite team members to upload media and collaborate in real time in a shared workspace. Chained comments and annotations on specific frames make it much easier to maintain communication between the different professionals in a production.
STORAGE
The free Sony Ci account supports up to 5GB of storage, but it is possible to upgrade or exchange it for a 25GB, 50GB or 100GB team subscription.
In addition, you can also write to Sony if you need something more personalized.
