Sony unveils new Xperia Pro with features that go beyond a cell phone

Sony has unveiled what is more than just a cell phone, the new Xperia Pro. Sony’s new Xperia Pro goes a step further and also becomes a signal transmission device. It is still under development, but it will be Sony’s flagship, having functionalities that go far beyond those offered by a cell phone and that are focused on a more professional profile.

With the arrival of 5G, Sony seems to have put the batteries and that is why it has integrated into the new Xperia Pro 4 antennas to transmit live video signals via mmWave 5G connections. With the phone connected to a professional camera via a micro HDMI port, we will be able to transmit the camera signal at high speed.

Thought so as a live monitor, the screen is designed for that purpose and it is a 16.5-inch OLED with 4K HDR 21:9 resolution. On the more technical side of the device we must highlight the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, 6Gb RAM and 512 Gb of storage.

As for the camera’s features, Sony has made use of the technology used by the Alpha 9 to achieve a fast and accurate autofocus system. We are talking about the Eye Autofocus, which also has manual settings for more professional photographers. It shares with the Xperia 1 II many features, such as RAW support, video recording with color adjustments through the color look, etc…

It is IP68 certified as a sealed, water and dust resistant device. The internal battery is 4000 mAh long lasting with compatibility with the UCH32C charger, which allows fast charging.

At the moment, as we said, the final models are not available, although they seem to be very advanced and we believe that there is less time to launch. If you want to be the first to know when it goes on sale, you can sign up from the Sony website.
