Sorenson Squeeze Premium

Sorenson Media has released a new edition of its video encoding system, called Sorenson Squeeze Premium and intended to work with servers.

This new version combines Squeeze Standard with a powerful encoding server. It is optimized for installation on Windows Server 2008 and provides its users with the ease of working with the interface and all the features of the Squeeze application, but in addition, working with server-based coding.

In Squeeze Premium there are presets for all codecs and formats supported in the standard version and it is also possible to use “Watch Folders” to simplify encoding by dragging and dropping to a specific folder on the server.

In addition to these presets, you can also customize the encodings, indicating the output format, bit rate and other parameters, as well as choose the delivery destination.

Another goal of this edition is to facilitate the sharing of these encoded videos through fully automated processes without having to leave the user interface. Therefore, they can be published directly and unlimitedly on Amazon, CON (Akamai and Limelight), Youtube or choose a folder as destination.

The Sorenson 360 online platform can also be used to store, manage and distribute the videos.

When you license this version you also get a free copy of Video Compression for Flash, Apple devices and HTML5; one year of free product updates; and priority technical support through an assigned representative account.

Sorenson Squeeze Premium is now available for $1,995. Here you have all the information about its features and how to purchase it.

If you want to know the new features that were added in version 8.5 of Squeeze you can check them out in this article. I also leave you the link to download the free 30 days trial.
