New call for the Speedgrade and color correction course in the Adobe CS6 suite.

At the last Nab Adobe presented the new version of its popular professional editing and post-production suite: Adobe Creative Suite CS6. One of the main new features of the suite has been the incorporation of color correction software formerly known as Iridas Speedgrade. When Adobe acquired the company Iridas, it closed the audiovisual chain in its suite: Editing (Premiere) – Compositing and graphics (After Effects) and Color Correction (Speedgrade) allowing owners of the economical and popular suite to perform the complete post-production work. This fact, together with the increasing number of professionals that every day migrate to editing with Premiere, makes Speedgrade to be one of the most used and widespread color correction software in the coming years. This intensive course will teach the use of the Adobe Speedgrade color correction tool, emphasizing both workflows with Premiere and After Effects, as well as the use of this tool used in other profiles (Digital Intermediate, work from Avid or FCP, etc.) So that the student will be able to work with the color correction tools and decide the most appropriate workflows and programs for each project.

1.- INTRODUCTION TO SPEEDGRADE. Basic settings. Preferences. Interface.

WORKFLOW. Workflows with Speedgrade and Premiere Pro CS6.

3.- ADVANCED WORKFLOWS. Import of materials. Scene detection and EDL. Roundtrips between Speedgrade and Final Cut Pro/Avid.

4.- PRIMARY CORRECTIONS. Primary color correction. Color theory. Analysis tools.

5.- SECONDARY COLOR CORRECTION. Working on isolated areas of the image.

6.- MASKS, KEYING AND REMASKING. Advanced masks. Masks based on color. Pan & Scan effects.

7.- WORKING WITH STYLES AND LUTs. Interoperability between SpeedGrade CS6, After Effects CS6 and Photoshop CS6. Export of LUT tables.

8.- ADVANCED IMPORT AND EXPORT. Work with LUTs and formats such as R3D, ProRes, Arri, etc.

9.- STEREOSCOPY 3D. Stereo timelines. Working with geometry and color between eyes.

10.-CONTROL SURFACES. Introduction to the different compatible control surfaces.
