The recent Oscar award for Best Cinematography given to “Hugo” has made it clear that the film industry currently supports well-done S3D projects. These facts, together with the increase in sales of 3D televisions, are increasing the creation of content and little by little S3D is becoming standardized not as a technological or spectacular novelty, but as a different and unique way of making movies.
This intensive course will explain the basics of stereoscopy and its application to post-production, will teach the new S3D tools of version 6 of Avid Media Composer (one of the standards for editing S3D content) and beyond the purely technical we will talk about what is the language of S3D storytelling in the editing room. The concepts of external editing and internal editing change completely in the face of convergence or interaxial, as well as the rhythm or composition when joining two shots. A whole new grammar to learn, technically and artistically, to be able to tell stories in a new way.
