Arri released a few days ago the SUP (Software Update Package) 4.0.24 update for its Alexa Mini camera, which includes important bug fixes especially focused on anamorphic modes and lens control.
These are the bugs that have been rectified with respect to version 4.0.15:
- The 2.39 2K and 16:9 HD anamorphic modes had incorrect scalers and could not be used.
- The monitor or EVF would freeze when zooming in while in 2.39 2K or 16:9 HD anamorphic modes.
- The WCU-4 (Wireless Compact Unit) displayed the target information for internal mappings in metric scale when the camera was set to imperial scale.
- Older lens mappings were failing to load on the Alexa Mini.
- Lens programming in the WCU-4 generated faulty assignments when LDS (Lens Data System) or lens mapping were active.
- Sometimes the WiFi SSID was not visible after upgrading to version 4.0.15.
