Tangent Element vS

Recently we talked about Lockickeyboard, a keyboard with all the shortcuts for DaVinci Resolve that streamlined the work of colorists. Today I want to show you an application that allows you to take your controller with you wherever you go.

It is about Element vSa virtual controller for any version of iPad developed by Tangent (the creators of the Tangent Wave and Element controllers).

Its design is exactly the same as Element’s, and you can even join several tablets together to get the most out of the four panels included. It is fully “multi-touch”, to use all the controls simultaneously, and it is possible to work with it complementing the individual Element panels.

The computer and iPad must be configured on the same wireless network to establish the connection.

There are two versions of Element vS, a free version that limits work to one hour per day, and a paid version that costs $150. Both are available on iTunes.

It is compatible with any software that supports the Tangent Element, among which we find Scratch, DaVinci, Nucoda, Baselight, Mistika, SpeedGrade, Color and many more(here you can see the complete list). As some systems require the installation of the Tangent Hub software, I leave you the download link.

Don’t miss our courses on color correction! You can learn all the concepts related to the theory, how to design your own workflows or how to handle tools such as DaVinci Resolve.
