Several Tangent users have had the opportunity to test the prototype of its latest controller, Ripple. As a result, and thanks to the feedback the company has received, it has decided to improve the design.
The Tangent Ripple was announced a few months ago without too many details, except that its price would be around $350, that it would be released in early 2016 (which looks like it won’t happen), and that it would be compact, with three dials and USB connection.
This type of controller is intended, for example, for editors who are required to perform color correction tasks and want a simple, small tool.
The redesigned model features larger dials, more distance between the dial and the dial, and improvements to the dial’s handling (with a deeper finger grip and recess).
At the moment we still do not know the exact price or release date, but we do know that it will be shown at NAB.
