Telestream has announced that it will launch Episode 7 during IBC, which will take place September 10-15 in Amsterdam.
This update of the video encoding software improves its performance thanks to a new 64-bit engine, as well as the Split-and-stitch feature, which converts large files quickly using multiple cores on a single machine or on multiple cross-platform workstations.
Another important new feature is the added formats, such as 4K with R3D ingest, HEVC presets or support for JPEG2000, DNxHD, DNxHR and DVCPro encoding.
The audio options are more advanced in this version, since Episode now has an Audio Channel Configurator that allows us to map the standard input and output formats or customize the channels.
In addition, the Premiere Pro plug-in has been updated to enable compatibility with Adobe CC 2015 and the preview and directory naming functions have also been improved (now directly from the interface itself).
Episode 7 is scheduled for release during the last quarter of 2015 in three models: Episode, Episode Pro and Episode Engine. Here you can see their prices depending on the required upgrade.
