Once again we are very close to the celebration of the #3Dday, organized every year by the company SGO and now also joined by Canon (in addition to HP, Red.es and Solid Angle as sponsors).
This is the 19th edition of the event, which this time will focus mainly on 4K and UHD workflows from the moment of recording to projection. In addition, High Frame Rates and new color spaces will be discussed when working with this type of resolutions.
As always, distinguished industry professionals will be attending #3Dday:
- Sébastien Devaud: film director and producer at BIGSENSORS & FILMS and known for being one of the first to use SLR cameras for video recording. He will talk about his experience in 4K shooting with the Canon EOS-1D C, C500 and various lenses of the L and Cinema EOS series. For this, we will see the development of the production of Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy.
- Sam Sheppard: is an international film consultant and part of the SGO team. He will again return to UHD to review certain factors necessary in a production. He will share his experience in projects such as Inside the Mind of Leonardo, Avatar or The Lovely Bones.
- John Daro: is one of the most respected colorists in the world and will present some case studies of projects he has worked on at Fotokem, such as The Boxtrolls or 99 Homes, as well as other large format works in 65 and 70mm and 2D to 3D conversions.
And of course, afterwards there will be a party in the Moby Dick room for you to chat and have a good time with the attendees.
The #3Dday will be next December 3 at the Academia de Cine de Madrid (Calle Zurbano 3, 28003, Madrid).
Doors will open at 15:30h. If you want to attend you have to register at http://www.sgo.es/3dday/
