The Drago and Falco Films teams will be present at the Data Wangler and DIT classroom course.

The new Data Wangler and DIT classroom course is getting closer and we have some news to tell you. Remember that the course will take place on December 14 and 15 and there are very few places left, so you are still in time to reserve your place.

The classroom course will last 16 hours and will be taught by Rafa Roche, an expert in digital cinema and pioneer in HD with extensive experience as DIT, Data Wangler and Director of Photography. The classroom courses that we organize are mostly practical for students to put into practice the concepts learned and resolve any doubts as the exercises are performed.

As we promised you in the previous post, here is a preview of some of the equipment we will be working with during this course. We will have a complete DIT station provided by Drago. The station is equipped with Livegrade Pro color correction software, so students can practice what would be a real situation color grading material coming from the camera from the DIT station.

Falco filmswill provide the camera equipment with two of today’s greats, the Arri Amira and the Canon C700. Arri, currently one of the brands most trusted by the directors of photography and with which you will surely find yourself in real shootings once the course is over. A good opportunity to learn the main aspects of this camera, the management of the material shot and its processing. The Arri Amira is capable of recording 4K images in Rec709 or Log-C and in Apple ProRes 4444 format.

The Canon C700 also features internal 4K recording and different recording formats, in RAW or ProRes, and unlike the Arri Amira, it has 15 stops of dynamic range, one more than the Arri. Two different cameras perfect to see the different workflows that can arise during a shoot.

We have worked with Falco Films for several editions of this course to have the best equipment and now we also want to thank Drago for their confidence in us for this new edition of the course by providing the complete DIT station. With the best audiovisual equipment and a great professional as Rafa Roche, we are looking forward to the date to start the course.
