Aputure launches its two new models of the 60 series, the Light Storm 60X and 60D. Two small LED fresnel spotlights reminiscent of the famous Dedolight. Aputure launches the new lights in two different versions, one simulating daylight, the 60D, and the other in two colors, the 60X.
They are small 60 watt bulbs but quite manageable. In this case the halo of light can be regulated to manage the intensity between 15 and 45 degrees. In terms of light intensity, there are differences between the two models. In the case of the 60D, daylight, has a power of 50,000 lux, almost doubling that of its previous model. In the case of the two-color spotlights, where the power is usually reduced by half, it reaches 30,000.
To give even more versatility to the new Light Storm, Aputure has designed add-ons to increase the creative possibilities. The Spotlight Mini Zoom is an add-on for the two spotlights that allows you to achieve ellipsoidal illuminations, better known as Leko, which allow you to adjust and accentuate the beam of light to achieve a more diffused or stronger light. In the case of the Spotlight Mini Zoom, it has a 2x zoom to achieve a more or less narrow beam of light. In addition to more pronounced illumination, Bowens-type add-ons can be added to further increase the lighting possibilities.
The operation of the spotlights is simple and has remote control thanks to the incorporation of Bluetooth. Through the Aputures Sidus Link application you can control the configuration of the LEDs: from the brightness, the beam of light and many other options.
At the moment the company has only advanced its release date, scheduled for the end of the year, and the price is still unknown, although Aputure always tends to launch cheaper products than most of the market.
