A flicker-free LED light: the sum of continuous light and the flexibility of high-speed sync (HSS) flash to freeze the action. Rotolight’ s new NEO 2 is a 145 mm diameter disc with a depth of 50 mm. With a light output capability of 1K or 2000 lux at a distance of 90cm.
As for its ability to function as a continuous light, it can be powered by the power adapter or AA NiMH batteries. It has two control knobs that allow you to set the brightness and color temperature of its 50-degree light beam.
NEO 2 features
The color temperature ranges from 3100K to 6300K, the latter of which is higher than what is normally obtained with most video lights. Rotolight has paid special attention to skin tone rendering with lights, resulting in a CRI for the R15 skin tone of 98, a CRI of 96 overall and a TLCI value of 91. Among these effects are examples such as strobes, lightning, fire or pulsations. To take advantage of these effects, for example, to film a scene with a police presence, you can emulate the presence of a police vehicle by placing a 712 Bedford blue filter in front of the NEO 2 and selecting the Police effect, thus simulating the emergency services light.
