The new wireless transmitter Teradek ACE 800 is capable of transmitting images with zero delay. The manufacturers claim that the new Teradek ACE 800 maintains the same manufacturing line as Teradek Bolt, more recognized among professionals.
The new wireless transmitter is capable of transmitting HD signals in real time over a distance of approximately 250 meters. The advantage of the new Teradek over previous models is that it offers quality transmissions at a more affordable price without losing the video signal. With more complicated situations in mind, the new wireless transmitter is capable of transmitting over the 5GHz band thanks to its intelligent RF design.
The transmitter has both SDI and HDMI outputs for receiving video signals and, of course, for sending video signals from the camera. The only thing to do is to connect the transmitter to the camera through the SDI output. By not carrying cables, camera movements are lighter and the operator has more freedom of movement without compromising the signal transmission.
For multi-screen productions on set, the transmitter signal can be sent to up to 4 receiving devices in 1080p resolution and up to 60 frames per second.
External batteries can be added to the transmitters to extend the performance of the transmitters and receivers. In the case of transmitters, battery plates can be added and in the case of receivers, Gold or V-mount batteries can be added.
Being a wireless device, the connection options to the camera body have been thought to be as universal as possible and 3 different connection points have been added. It can be installed to the body either by camera arms, hot shoe or external connection systems.
At the moment it is only available in the United States for $2,490 and we do not know if it will reach Spain at some point.
